Our stronger handmade Canna Salve
We start with the salve we have been making since 2017, then add a more concentrated full-spectrum extract, moringa, marula and baobab oils, and DMSO.
The plant oils
Moringa, marula and baobab
We begin with coconut oil, cacao, shea, mafura and mango butters, then add neem, argan, lavender, geranium, eucalyptus and rosehip.
For this formula we also add moringa, marula and baobab oils. Marula and baobab are Southern African ingredients, as is the mafura butter we use in both salves.
Sunflower and soy wax keep the salve firm in the jar until it warms against your fingers.
We use organic ingredients where possible.
The DMSO
Why we add DMSO
DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide, is a clear, colourless solvent. We add it to help carry the salve further into the skin.
Because DMSO can carry other substances with it, apply this salve only to clean skin and avoid layering it over other products.

How to apply it
Scoop out a little, warm it between your fingers and rub it into the skin where you want to use it.
We make this version for people who want our more concentrated extract and the formula with DMSO.
Keep it away from the eyes and take particular care around open wounds. Apply only to clean skin because DMSO can carry other substances through it.
