This blend contains flower petals, pollen and the occasional flower head. It's the 'full spectrum' version of Blue Lotus Flowers.

Suggested use
Infuse 1-2 teasppons in 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to steep 5-7 minutes (A longer steep time just makes it taste bitter, and you may lose subtle taste).
Take before bed/sleeping to induce lucid dreams.

The flower
A water lily with a lotus's name
Nymphaea caerulea is a water lily; true lotuses belong to the genus Nelumbo. Blue lotus is the common name that stuck.
The flower opens by day and closes at night. In ancient Egypt it appeared frequently in art and was associated with the sun and resurrection.
The harvest
Wild-harvested in Sri Lanka
We wild-source the flowers from lakes in Sri Lanka. They grow in the mud without fertiliser or pesticide, then dry in gentle shaded sunlight.
After harvesting, the flowers are shade-dried to preserve the petals, pollen and occasional flower head.
The cup
A teaspoon, and 5 to 7 minutes
Use 1 to 2 teaspoons in a cup of boiling water. Steep for 5 to 7 minutes, then strain. A longer steep turns it bitter and covers the subtler part of the taste.
It brews a pale amber-gold, and the dried petals smell faintly of chocolate. Add a squeeze of lemon or a little hibiscus and the cup turns deep purple as the acidity changes the flower's pigment.
It is sedative, so keep it for the evening. Do not drive or do anything else that needs your full attention after a cup.
